Barry Higgins has a farm in Ballynahinch, Co. Down. Barry makes 2,500 bales of silage, 100 bales of hay and 400 bales of haylage. He also does some work for some of his neighbours.

Barry explained

"I have been in agriculture all my life, normally working with farmers. I've had a contractor in for most of my life, until I bought a Claas baler 4 years ago, then this year, I bought a McHale - A better job."

Barry explained his reasons for buying a McHale machine, which were
" The baler was the talk of the country! So I thought it must be good! My neighbour bought one and it was a great job for him. Also, a friend of mine who deals in machinery recommended it".

Barry bought his baler from G.A. Allen in Banbridge, who Barry says "provided me with plenty of information and did well".

After using the machine for a year Barry commented: "The grease and oiling system is brilliant, it provides an ease of mind for the operator! Saved me going home at night with a sore head from the field!"

Barry explained "I haven't needed any back up service as I've had no problems!".

Barry summed up by telling us "I've had the machine one season and it went really well, I am really happy with it and I would recommend it".
