Stephen Feely is a dairy farmer in Co. Monaghan who makes 1,000 bales per year, which can be broken down into 900 bales of silage and 100 bales of hay.

Stephen told us " I am a full time dairy farmer with 112 dairy cows. I have noticed over the years that my silage bill was by far the largest expense and it was also increasing every year. The primary aim of my business is to earn as much money as possible, so I decided to buy a McHale F550 to do my own silage".

Stephen told us that the main reason he purchased the McHale F550 baler was "because I would be saving money if I made my own bales rather than getting a contractor in to do it for me".

Stephen purchased his McHale F550 baler from Eamon Tinney and Sons in Letterkenny and said "I was very satisfied with the service and they helped me decide which baler was right for me".

After using the F550 for 3 years Stephen said he "liked the automatic greaser as you don't have to grease it yourself".

Stephen finished up by saying " I am very happy with my McHale as it has given no trouble and it is also saving me money".
