ROLE

McHale are looking to recruit a Quality Technician to join our Quality team in our production area. This is a full-time permanent position based at our Head Office in Ballinrobe. The ideal candidate will be be eager to learn and has the ability to work effectively and independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administration of customer complaints and issuing of supplier corrective actions or returns to suppliers.
• Ensuring that rejected parts are controlled effectively to prevent inadvertent use.
• Reporting of key supplier quality metrics for the department.
• Ensuring all calibration equipment is calibrated, maintained, recorded as per the company’s Calibration Register.
• Prompt closure of daily issues and effective management of assigned CAR’s, ECO’s and customer complaints.
• Updating of standard operating procedures for selected areas /lines.
• Cover for final QA release at dispatch.
• Any requests deemed necessary by the QA Manager.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Strong IT skills required.
• Engineering qualification desirable or relevant experience
• Confident and assertive communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
