McHale is currently recruiting for an R&D Engineering Change Leader. This is a permanent position, reporting to R&D Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively manage and oversee all Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) from the R&D Department.
• Review all ECOs at the design stage and liaise with R&D Engineers to optimize the content before release to manufacturing.
• Co-ordination and planning of larger ECOs before production implementation.
• Ensuring all design work follows the recommended R&D workflows and engineering guidelines.
• Review and sign-off on technical drawings before release to manufacturing.
• Ongoing improvements and refinement of the Design ECO process.
• Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Design ECO process.
• Proof reading and technical verification of customer facing documentation before release.

 

KEY  SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong Engineering or Manufacturing background is essential.
• Degree level qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with ECO/PLM systems is beneficial.
• Excellent literary skills are essential.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage workload.
• Ability to work with staff at differing levels. A strong team player.
• Strong communication skills.
• Advanced computer and data collection system literacy.
