ROLE
McHale is currently recruiting for an R&D Engineering Change Leader. This is a permanent position, reporting to R&D Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively manage and oversee all Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) from the R&D Department.
- Review all ECOs at the design stage and liaise with R&D Engineers to optimize the content before release to manufacturing.
- Co-ordination and planning of larger ECOs before production implementation.
- Ensuring all design work follows the recommended R&D workflows and engineering guidelines.
- Review and sign-off on technical drawings before release to manufacturing.
- Ongoing improvements and refinement of the Design ECO process.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Design ECO process.
- Proof reading and technical verification of customer facing documentation before release.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong Engineering or Manufacturing background is essential.
- Degree level qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with ECO/PLM systems is beneficial.
- Excellent literary skills are essential.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage workload.
- Ability to work with staff at differing levels. A strong team player.
- Strong communication skills.
- Advanced computer and data collection system literacy.
