Role:

  • The IT manager is responsible for proactively leading the IT function
  • The appointee is responsible for the operation, strategic direction and budget for IT across the entire business

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capturing short, medium and long-term IT needs
  • Providing plans/ road map for IT, including investment plans, programme of work and proposals
  • Providing technical guidance in infrastructure, development, business analysis, requirements definition, training, project management and project delivery to the rest of the IT function
  • Review of all current IT systems, infrastructure and security
  • Making IT talent decisions and providing coaching and career development for all IT personnel
  • Responsible for the delivery of IT projects, methodology, processes, systems selection and standards to ensure achievement of targets
  • Accountable for security of all IT systems, infrastructure and data governance including but not limited to GDPR
  • Regular reporting to the business and the IT function of plans and progress of projects
  • Manage relationships with 3rd parties and outsourcing partners
  • Responsible for IT operating and capital budgets
  • Develop, implement and ensure compliance of all relevant IT policies and governance across the company
  • Ensure all systems and infrastructure are within vendor support levels

 

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent
  • Candidates must be a senior experienced IT professional with a minimum of 10 years relevant IT experience
  • Experienced in successfully delivering enterprise wide systems and infrastructure in particular ERP and Best of Breed solutions
  • Experienced in data security and implemented IT and user policies
  • Proven track record in project management
  • Proven ability to successfully select and implement systems and drive their efficiency
  • Understanding business processes especially in manufacturing and supply chain
  • Experience in leading change management and process changes when implementing systems
  • Experience in working with operations outside of Ireland
  • Experience in managing IT budgets
  • Experience in negotiating and managing 3rd party suppliers

McHale is looking to recruit a Human Resources Manager who will have full responsibility for the HR function of McHale Engineering in Ballinrobe & McHale Farm Machinery in Kilmaine.

This includes recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, training & development, performance management, administration, succession planning, retention and ensuring employment law compliance.

Department:  Organisational Development/HR

Reporting to: Managing Director
