Sales and Logistic Administrator
Location: Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, Ireland.
Title: Sales and Logistic Administrator

McHale  Engineering is seeking to recruit a Sales and Logistics Administrator with 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role or with accounts / admin experience gained in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. This is a permanent full-time position based in our Sales and Logistics open plan office in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo.

Job responsibilities:

  • Call filtering and dealing with general phone and email enquiries.
  • Assisting and corresponding with Sales Reps and Dealers in several countries on a daily basis.
  • Sales Order Entry, Confirmation and maintenance on multiple systems.
  • Checking Inventory and Creation and maintenance of all load lists and logistical requirements.
  • Booking of Haulage and forwarding for each load and providing relevant booking.
  • Information to the forwarders (Dimensions, weight, serial numbers, Delivery addresses etc.)
  • Negotiating of rates with hauliers and forwarders etc., corresponding with potential new freight providers.
  • Generation of Delivery Notes, Invoices, Customs paperwork, any other relevant Load Documentation etc.
  • Chasing up Bills of Lading and any relevant shipping Documentation from Forwarders.
  • Providing accurate ETA’s and copies of all required documentation to Dealers in good time.
  • Generation of Purchase orders for all freight and checking any freight Invoice queries.
  • Chasing up signed delivery notes and POD’s from hauliers for all loads.
  • General and accurate data entry on multiple systems with keen eye for detail.
  • Dealing with general sales, order and logistics enquiries by telephone and email

Technical Documentation Engineer
Location: Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, Ireland.
Title: Technical Documentation Engineer

McHale is currently seeking to recruit a Technical Documentation Engineer on a 1-year fixed term contract based in our Ballinrobe Plant to assist in compiling technical manuals, review and track engineering changes and other associated activities at our Engineering department.

The successful candidate will be required to compile and continually update technical publications, to our style guidelines, as well as co-ordinate and manage the translation and review process, in various languages. They should be capable of explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner and will also be responsible for reviewing and tracking engineering changes on a day-to-day basis

Ideally, the successful candidate will have relevant experience, using publishing software like Adobe FrameMaker or equivalent. They should also be proficient in image capturing, editing and manipulation and show great attention to detail. A good working knowledge of engineering drawings and machinery and experience in 3D Design (CAD) and/or Illustration packages is desirable.

Key Requirements :

  • Three to five years, experience in the design and compilation of technical documentation and image editing.
  • Fully proficient in a publishing software package, like Adobe FrameMaker or equivalent.
  • A good working knowledge of engineering drawings and machinery.
  • Experience in 3D Design (CAD) or illustration packages is desirable.

Embedded Software Engineer

Role: Embedded Software Engineer

McHale is looking to recruit an Embedded Software Engineer with 2- 3 years’ experience. To lead in the full software development life cycle i.e. design, develop and maintain C embedded software for control systems on agricultural machinery. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively and independently. The successful candidate must have familiarity with electronic circuitry to the degree necessary to test and debug software functions on target hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems using C, C++ and C#
  • Analyse, monitor and enhance the efficiency and stability of embedded systems.
  • Proactively review and recommend improvements to existing system designs.
  • Management of software repositories using the ‘Git’ version control system.
  • Participate in design and code review process with software engineers.
  • Collaborate with engineers and service personnel to debug and resolve software issues.
  • Liaise with customers to understand and interpret their needs and address issues.
  • Perform modifications on existing embedded software to add improved functionality.

 Key Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of software design in embedded systems and real-time applications, particularly in embedded C.
  • Experience with hardware/software debugging equipment.
  • Good knowledge of hardware design, micro-controllers and electronics
  • Knowledge of CAN bus systems and communication protocols is an advantage but not essential.

Educational Qualifications:

A level 7 or preferably a level 8 degree in a technical, science or engineering discipline within any of the following areas: software engineering, IT, Computer science, Maths, Electronics, Applied Physics.
